Alleyways – Thank God It’s Doomsday – Review

Today I’ll review “Thank God It’s Doomsday”, the debut album by the Italian pop punk band Alleyways.
This record contains 12 melodic and energetic tracks and the genre is a pop punk with punk rock and alternative rock influences. These guys base their songs on catchy tunes filled with different guitar lines that often do solos under the power chords. The singing is great and I like the timbre because it embraces the music. The choruses are sometimes in scream (I don’t like scream but it’s used in an intelligent way), but most of the times they are clean.
The album is homogeneous and the sounds are good. The best song in my opinion is “Around Us”, a span over the others. The only lack of this record is the fact that it ends with three ballads. Personally I wouldn’t have put them one after the other, but in-between songs. However the album is great and I suggest you to listen to it!
