Biffers – Frankie Road EP – Review

The Biffers, whose latest album was Whoa!, released an EP on June 2015, “Frankie Road”, and I can assure you that the band from Livorno perfectly understood how to play punk rock in a quiet and fun way; in fact also this EP is influenced by Ramones and early Green Day.
Speaking of the instrumental part, you immediately experience their desire for catchy and direct songs in which the voice is smoky and strong and has a timbre that makes me crazy.
The lyrics are about friends, events and having fun, bad luck and trouble with the law; the last one is about Tommi and Dario’s last band, “Happiness For Madness”.
The 4 songs are similar, except for the last which is a little slower; in my opinion, the album’s flagship song is “Werewolf”, a cheerful tune that makes you want to have fun.
I will not dwell too much: listen to them and you will enjoy this great punk rock band for sure!
