BIFFERS – Vice – Review

It’s always a good thing to review Biffers, for every time their records are free listening and pleasant.
The punk rock trio from Livorno is back with a new album produced by Kung Fu Records and released on April 15th, “Vice”, after the excellent “Whoa!” (here you can find the review: http://radio-punk.tumblr.com/post/104399790584/album-review-biffers-whoa-itaeng).
The opening song, “Vice”, is a perfect start and strongly drags us into the 12 tracks. The whole record is a mix of early Green Day’s pop-punk (three chords and go), Ramones’ punk rock and a certain amount of rock: something old school but original, thanks to the voice and its fabulous harmonisations.
The album is flawlessly recorded, though I’m not crazy about the guitar sound, but it’s my personal taste.
Biffers have done a good job again, getting better in some things and remaining true to their wonderful style. It’s hard to say what’s the best track, but “Vice” is very well structured and the choice of starting with the title track and closing with a track named after their previous album, “Whoa!”, is an interesting idea. Absolutely recommended. Gabba Gabba Hey!
