Biffers – Whoa! – Review

Today we’ll review an amazing band here on Radio Punk! We’re talking about Biffers, a punk rock band based in Tuscany, and their album “Whoa!”, which was released last year for Inconsapevole Records and this year it was released in digital format with their Californian label Kung Fu Records!!
It’s unusual for an Italian band to join such a great punk label, so I’m very happy for that. I really like this album and its 10 punk rock tracks. The first song “Biffers” is explosive and it goes right into the second “Bubblegum” (the single) and then into the third, the fourth, etc…it’s a very fluid album and it’s very energetic! The happy, powerful and straightforward style refers to the first Green Day and especially to the Ramones, with their power chords and the energetic voice. It’s very interesting how the acoustic song “The Trick” breaks the album into two parts (track number 5) and how the following song “Hold On” starts: the ear is relaxed and the album restarts in a fantastic way!
I think and I say that “Whoa!” is awesome and that you must listen to it. It was a pleasant discovery and compliments to Biffers and to Kung Fu Records for bringing these guys into their roster!
