Interview with Ratos De Porao

Just how we mentioned during the MUY TEMIBLE interview(summer 2013), that same night we interviewed Jao, guitar player of this Brazilian band and we asked him some questions.
It was a very pleasant chat and he very kindly answered to all of our questions. I was lucky to be able to speak with all 4 members of the band and Joao Gordo (singer) confessed that he hates soccer, but this is another story.
The current Ratos de Porao line-up is:
Jao: guitar
Joao Gordo: lead vocals
Boka: drums
Juninho: bass
Let’s get to the interview:
-RADIO PUNK: Hi, it is a great pleasure for us to interview you, what do you think about the music scene here in Italy and about the people?
-JAO RATOS: Hi, no problem! It’s always nice to play in Italy, we always meet nice people and the music scene is impressive as always. Little has changed, especially here in Friuli, in the past 10 years since we were here last:  we met a lot of “punk-metal” people with great attitudes.
-RADIO PUNK: So, you like to play in Italy…will you come back soon?
-JAO RATOS: I think so and I hope so. Not only I like the scene, but I like the area very much, so I think that we will come back and maybe even next year!
-RADIO PUNK: When do you think a new Ratos de Porao album will be coming out?
-JAO RATOS: We still have to finish the tour, then we’ll go back to Brazil and start recording new tracks. It’s been a while since we released a full-length album, even though in the meanwhile compilations and stuff like that was released.
-RADIO PUNK: Jao, it was a pleasure and you put up a great show. Is there anything you would like to tell our readers?
-JAO RATOS: I don’t know…thank you for the compliments and for the interview, tonight’s show went well, we were treated very good, the organization was flawless e we hope to see you guys at our next Italian date!
