Middle Brain – Il Fattore Molesto – Review

“Il Fattore Molesto” is the second work by Middle Brain, a Punk-Rock band from Cesena born in 2011 inspired by bands such as Moravagine and Cattive Abitudini. Since the beginning of the EP, formed by 6 tracks, you immediately notice the carefree tone of the lyrics. The first song “Pirati” talks about pirates (who would have said?!?): Jack Sparrow and Captain Harlock are accompanied by fast drums and a post-hardcore influenced voice. The title-track is an “unfortunate” song: it talks about various situations in which fate is everything but positive.
The only bad thing: the lyrics lack of substance, except for the second-to-last song, entitled “A Denti Stretti”, which talks about the decay of our society and the struggle to survive.
On the whole, Middle Brain is a promising and charismatic band: the guitars with their distortions and melodic solos are dominant, but the bass is never subdued.
