PUP @Circolo Ohibò, 15/11/2019 – Photos and report

PUP is the best band you can get and we explain why

If you have never seen PUP live, you must necessarily recover. The concert of 15 November has been their second date in Italy for this year and we couldn’t miss it. The Canadian band was hosted by Circolo Ohibò and was supported by the Italians Stanis and the Norwegians Sløtface, which we strongly advise you to listen to.

The date in Italy is in the second part of the tour dedicated to the new album, Morbid Stuff, and we can define it as another healthy dose of funny and rotten punk. PUP started the concert with See You At Your FuneralMy Life Is Over And I Couldn’t Be Happier and Guilt Trip. The setlist was a ticking time bomb, there are not so many tracks that the Canadians have written to rest the audience, but it’s certainly not a problem. In fact, we sweated from the beginning to the end, the bruises are still visible and this gallery is the result of absence of barriers, slaps and sweat of Stefan Babcock on the lens. The new tracks, like Kids, Free At Last and Full Blown Meltdown have been alternated with the old ones: Dark DaysReservoir, If This Tour Doesn’t Kill You I Will and DVP. The last two, in particular, cannot exist separately. They played all the records, they are three, they are out of tune and they are the mirror of this band. PUP are ironic and sound like they have nothing to lose. That classic band that does it for the true pleasure of punk: getting on a stage to break the eardrums and even the vocal chords.
