Review: Defezione – Self Titled

First album for Defezione, from Molise!

They come from Campobasso, it’s 4-piece band and… they kick ass. The intro says it all: this self-titled from Defezione is cool stuff. Their violent Fast-Core cranked at supersonic speed will melt your face with screams and yells and throw you back to the Italian 80’s scene. Self-produced by TPIC Records and Olivia Records in pure DIY style, the album was recorded in January 2019 (hence fresh out of the studio) by Gianluca Vergalito and Carlo Ziccardi at BradipHouse from Campobasso. Lovely is the caption on the rear side of the CD stating “do not pay more than your pocket change” that really reflects the spirit behind this band.
This first album from Defezione is made of 10 tracks for about 7 minutes: you can tell the band cuts right to the chase both in terms of music and lyrics. Their live show is not-to-be missed and this first studio experience confirms how good this band is. You fast-core lovers, by all means, go support this band… they got attitude to spare!

Album Rate: 8/10
