Ossa Cave Inerzia

Review: Ossa Cave – Inerzia

First album for the Turinese band Ossa Cave

I was relaxing while drinking my well-deserved light wine in Padua, when suddenly Iena of Reset Clan came to me and said: “You can’t miss this CD, listen to it and spread the word, and believe me, you will like them!”. So here I am, reviewing “Inerzia”, the first album by Ossa Cave. The Turinese band, popped out straight from El Paso, cranked out 10 minutes of old school punk songs of an absolutely rough, icy and heart-rending stamp that brings us back to the dawn of the old school hardcore scene.

The album is made of simple but direct guitar riffs, a grave and “primitive” sound tendency, and a self-produced recording with markedly and intentionally coarse sounds – in a positive way, of course. The 7 tracks fly away rapidly and they are all brief; also the voice and the lyrics are suitable to the kind of music, as well as the design: a black and white drawing absolutely gloomy and suggestive.

In conclusion, listen to “Inerzia” by Ossa Cave! And if by any chance, we hit the nail on the head and you actually like this album as we did, more than Radio Punk, Iena is the one you have to thank! Since he let us find out this really good band that pays attention to the essentials and goes straight to the point. All in a DIY way, as old school hardcore is intended!
