Review: SpeedKobra – Days of Madness

SpeedKobra are back with their new LP Days of Madness

Days of Madness is the 10th song of the first LP of SpeedKobra. A title referring to their last tour which was, as you can guess : “complete madness.”

Formed in Berlin in 2016, SpeedKobra gathers members from Hangover Generation, Suburban Uproar and Hierophant : Gaspare, vocals, Sandro, lead guitar, Mauro bass, Fede, drums and Giacomo, rhythmic guitar. Nick played guitar in the band from 2016 to 2018 until he passed away. 

Harvester of Hate, Poison, Freedoom, Point of no return…Days of Madness explores the thematics of self-hatred, mutilation and loneliness : when pain is a motor, music becomes your antidote.

The album cover – realized by the tattoo artist Eduard Proskurin – shows a Torture Garden where one is his own tormenter, unless it illustrates the dictum: Hell is the other people.

Following the line of their previous productions, Days of Madness is the fruit of a 100% DIY logic and won’t disappoint the people who followed the band since their first steps. None the less the LP gains in metal riffs:  a pinch of nitroglycerin in their highly inflammable mix of crust and punk hardcore.
