Review: Stanis – Tales from a Modern Society

The last studio album by Stanis is out now!

When productions like this come out in Italy, we can still hope for the best. The new album by the Bolognese band Stanis, in fact, has nothing to envy to the biggest names of the Skate Punk and Melodic Hardcore scene.
The title (‘Tales from a Modern Society’) has the good potential to excite curiosity and, not surprisingly, the eleven tracks on the album form an excellent ‘trip’ (in short stories) in our modern society.
For this reason, the last work of Stanis is rich in all the facets of the case: the songs are really energetic, the sound is strong and precise with the perfect structures of guitars and drums. Then there is Zed’s voice that, with grit and enhanced by the best melodic nuances, completes the rest.
The production has a good level from the first tracks to the end, reaching great peaks with ‘Sunrise in the Van’ and ‘Tempus Fugit’. The pop-punk sounds are very interesting in songs like ‘Love Song’ and ‘Idiocracy’: these never lose the intentions of the ‘Californian fathers’. Finally, a special mention must be made regards to the track that closes the album (‘Live Funeral’) and sees the participation of Zock, from the Austrian ASTPAI.
The release was anticipated by two singles, “Society” and “Ready Reply” (I recommend the funny videoclip on YouTube), which have found some success among the lovers of the genre and which I personally greatly appreciated.
‘Tales From A Modern Society’ is available on all digital platforms, on CD and in colored vinyl limited to 100 copies, carefully hand numbered.
The power trio has produced an album with an international standing: in fact, this summer the band will play for important events and festivals, including KNRD Fest (Germany), Punk Rock Holiday (Slovenia) and the famous The Fest (Gainesville, Florida).

In short, this is what you must listen to!
