Teenage Bottlerocket – Tales From Wyoming – Review

To review a band like the Teenage Bottlerocket is quite easy, mostly because the band, which has published its new album called “Tales From Wyoming” through the company Rise Records, is not experimental or original, on the contrary it’s dedicated to an “easy chorded” and melodic Pop-Punk. In few words, they seek inspiration from the usual bands: Ramones, Screeching Weasels and so on. Just to be clear, I love both Teenage Bottlerocket and this genre of music, actually that wasn’t a critic, it was more a warning for the readers. The album is formed by 14 catchy, non fast tracks. The record starts off with “In my head”, then “I found the one”, “Nothing else matters (When I’m with you)” and “They call me steve”, which are the best songs along with “Too much la collina” and “Haunted house”. Hard to tell how to label this album in their discography, probably it’s a bit behind “Warning Device” and “They came from the shadows”, but still it’s a pretty good album and this is a band that I would definitely suggest to get people closer to punkrock: clean and powerful choruses and vocals, easy and catchy riffs and a lot of energy. This album is a “Must have”!
