DIY guitar: learn how to play

Learn to play the guitar and start a band!

Hi, I decided to share with all of you this shameful and totally useless guide that explains how I learned to play the guitar! Don’t take it too seriously, there are a billion things that are wrong with what I wrote, but 16 years ago myself doesn’t care.

Translation:

*1 = Learn to play the guitar
*2 = When I was 15 I used to listen to tons of music, but I couldn’t play any instrument, while some of my friends did… So one day I asked one of them if he could teach me to play. He took a paper and, while using the seat of my scooter as a table, he drew a tab which explained how to do power chords with a guitar, the most used chords in punk music (the genre which interested me the most).
*3 = Strings that mustn’t be played
*4 = I, II, III, IV, V fret
*5 = “All chords are like this. This is a F, if you move it forward of two frets it becomes a G, two more frets and it is an A, and so on.”

Back in those days Internet existed, but not like nowadays, so I mainly started to learn to play using this tab. I didn’t care of the akward positions of my hand and I didn’t care if I hadn’t a clear idea of what I was doing.
