Review: Cocks – Good Luck, Have Fun

In today’s review we’ll talk about Cocks, punk rock band from Genova, city to which goes our solidarity for what happened to Morandi bridge’s tragedy. The four memebers are untangling for a while inside the italian punk rock jungle and not, due to their great carisma and the good music they propose. I am going to reviewing “Good Luck, Have Fun” with so much interest, an album that came out thanks to Flamingo RecordsLostdog Records and NoReason Records; composed by 11 tracks, it introduces itself with a great cover that shows a baby, to which the title of the album refers, inside the placenta and a costellation on the background. Nice colours and nice ideas, can’t wait to have the physical copy of the album. But this is another story, let’s proceed. The Cock proposes us a very melodic pop punk/punk rock, with clean and strong voice, and vocals of excuisite making. Simples guitar’s riff, that are perfectly entwined and catchy in the rigth way, sustained by a cool sounding bass and well structured melodics, just as the drum, appreciated this time to. It was a long time that I’ve heard an album this well done in the punk rock world, with almost perfect sounds and a tracklist very well written, that lets us listen to “Good Luck, Have Fun” from the beginning to the end without losing focus. I wore myself out searching for my favourite song, also because the album’s level is high. Finally, after a few hearings, I choose, like choosing the Pokemon for the right moment, “Why Not”, a songs that I am still singing in my head right now.
We’re finished here, for today, what’s left to strongly suggest this splendid “Good Luck, Have Fun” by Cocks, and why not, go see their previous hits!
