Interview with The Oxide

Today we’ll be writing down this short interview to present the band The Oxide, a punk rock band from around Pordenone. The band is formed by 3 kids: two of them(Kast and Alan) used to play in the now disbanded band MUY TEMIBLE (you can find their interview on our page) and one(Gg) used to play in the now inactive band Slang For Drunk and play in the active band NORTH EAST REBELS, another band from the area that plays oi!Core.
The Oxide’s line-up is:
Gg: lead vocals and guitar
Alan: bass and backing vocals
Kast: drums
Let’s move on with the interview:
RADIO PUNK: The band is new, you all come from different music scenes, for how long did you the idea to form this band?
The Oxide: Just how you said, we come from different music styles of playing, from hardcore to garage punk, but we’ve been friends for a long time and knowing that Gg had a lot of material and that he wanted to form a punk rock band it was all very easy to pull off.
RADIO PUNK: You’ve done some concerts to present yourselves to the people of the area and, having seen some of them, I would say that the response from the people was pretty good. When will we see a Demo or a CD?
The Oxide: It went better than we thought. As for the CD or Demo, we are recording right in this period 4 of our songs and 1 live in studio cover. This Registrations will be released with the collaboration of “ZEBRASALTO” that is a very interesting project which will start very soon.
RADIO PUNK: Describe your style…
The Oxide: It’s a sort of punk rock. We prefer not to label ourselves, we try to get inspiration from punk rock music and then we add something of our own to it!
RADIO PUNK: Suggest a band to our readers.
The Oxide: I don’t know…there are a lot of good bands in the area, we’d like to praise “FUSER”, a recently disbanded band from Veneto and all the bands from Pordenone like North-East Rebels,Spavaldery,Daltonic Out Cry,Hop Hop Riot,Great Escape,Haters Gonna Hate,Pozdam and Harakiri Bomb !
RADIO PUNK: Any dream?
The Oxide: We’ll just enjoy what we do and if anything more has to come, it will be our gain!
RADIO PUNK: Thank you, it was a pleasure, see you next time!
The Oxide: Thank you!
